Spring baseball is the core of the Little League experience. The season runs from late February through the end of May with six levels of play to ensure that kids are placed at the best possible level for their ability, development and enjoyment. The levels are as follows:

·      TEE BALL - is a child's first introduction to organized baseball. It is intended for players League Age 4 and 5. 

·      FARM LEAGUE - is for League Age 5 and 6 who have previously played Tee Ball.

·      ROOKIES - is for players who are League Age 7 and 8. Players at this level graduate to a machine-pitched baseball. A skills tryout is required (Player Evaluation). 

·      MINORS - is for players who are League Age 9 and 10. League Age 11 players who were not selected in the Majors division draft will also play in the Minors Division. A skills tryout is required (Player Evaluation). 

·      MAJORS - is for players who are League Age 11 and 12. All League Age 12 players play Majors and are assured a place on a Majors team. League Age 11 players who were not selected in the Majors division draft will also play in the Minors Division. A skills tryout is required (Player Evaluation).

·      JUNIORS LEAGUE - is for players League Age 13, 14, and 15. RVLL holds a mandatory Juniors tryout, usually in late January. Information gathered during the tryout is used in a player draft after the tryout to help ensure that the competitiveness of RVLL teams is as equal as possible.

If you are unsure of whether your player belongs in Tee or Farm, please make your "best guess" and complete your registration. Based on the information you provide in the registration process, we will make sure your player ends up in the right place. Spring 2026 - Rookies, Minors, and Majors "Registrations" have been combined. If your player(s) should likely play in one of these divisions, please register for the combined division, called Rookies, Minors, and Majors Little League Baseball. All Rookies, Minors and Majors Players will be required to participate in Evaluations which will ultimately determine which division they will be placed in, with age and other factors considered. Please only register for Juniors if player is league age 13, 14, or 15.

Any player that registers for Rookies, Minors or Majors (including any player who would like to be evaluated to play-up to one of these divisions) must attend player evaluations. Player evaluations will be held on January 25th at LaunchPad in San Rafael.

Minors, Majors, and Juniors Practice begins late-February 

Tee, Farm, and Rookies Practice begins the first week of March.

Opening Day Ceremony and Parade tentatively scheduled for March 7th
